Caf Pro Bono 3. Photos 6. Reviews Italian 2. Birch St, Palo Alto, CA Restaurant Reviews Phone Number. Birch St. Palo Alto, CA9. This is my new fav Italian place in Palo Alto. With hundreds of unique locations around the world, we throw standard service to the wind. Enjoy the All American Burger at any Hard Rock Cafe. Thank you so very much I love my monogram wizard plus especially with the extended features. I bought many of their fonts and have NEVER been unhappy. We ordered the Tagliatelle alla Pro Bono and the Greek Chicken. They were delicious. Food is a bit on the pricey side but we had a great timeI did not see the stellar service some people raved about on here. It started out ok, the workers were friendly and brought water and bread in a timely matter. Then I guess it either got busy or we didnt order enough to warrant attention. Nobody ever checked on us and we had to flag someone down every time we needed something. The sad thing is we were celebrating a birthday. Overall a very disappointing experience. This is my first time here and it was a really good experience all around. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. Executive Summary Business Plan Pro Sample JavaNet, unlike a typical cafe, will provide a unique forum for communication and entertainment through the medium of. The decor was really nice and the seating was very comfortable. All of our dishes were really good including the beet salad, veal piccata, and mushroom risotto with duck confit in a wine and berry sauce. We had no room for dessert but once we saw the dessert menu, we couldnt help ourselves. The spumoni ice cream and flourless chocolate cake were excellent. Though we really liked the menu, we would have liked it more if they offered vegetable side dishes. The ambience and decor at Cafe Pro Bono were great. I was seated right away when I arrived, and got to choose whether or not I wanted to be indoors or outdoors. The staff made sure to consistently check in with us throughout the night to ensure that we had everything we needed. If I had to leave a review for the customer service and context alone, I would have given this place 5 stars. However, I wasnt a fan of the food here. Its not bad by any means, as can be evidenced by the high reviews other people have left, but it just didnt do it for me. Internet Cafe ProvidenceI got the Susans Downfall which sounded really good but I wasnt really impressed. The gorgonzola sauce is very creamy and really overwhelms the rest of the plate. My friend got the vongole which tasted like it was only flavored with lemon juice. One of my favorite parts about eating at an Italian restaurant is the house bread with dipping sauce as well as dessert. The bread didnt taste fresh and the olive oilbalsamic vinegar dipping sauce is sweeter than expected, which I didnt like. Internet Cafe ProductsWe got tiramisu for dessert and that also tasted like it came frozen out of a box rather than made fresh in house. To reiterate, our meal was not bad and we still enjoyed our experience. But this restaurant does not stand out compared to other Italian restaurants Ive been to. Thats no hyperbole, this places offers the best pasta I have ever had. I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Pro Bono, which included mushrooms and chicken in an alfredo sauce, but my basic description doesnt even being to describe the flavors. All I can say is that the pasta texture was perfect, the chicken and mushroom created this intense, slightly smoky flavor that complimented the creamy sauce. If all of the other items on the menu taste like this, then this restaurant is absolutely top notch. Service was fantastic, but they could have thrown my food at me for all I care, this pasta was a reminder in why there are people in the world who live to eat. Ordered the carpaccio, susans downfall and thunder margarita. Margarita was just ok. Theres also no happy hour on the weekday here. The carpaccio was good and I really liked the susans downfall a lot. It was delicious I was also able to tried my friends salmon gnocchi and tagliolini. They were both really good. The service felt very rushed in the beginning. Server came by 2 times after I sat down asking if we were ready to order. After that she had huge tables and it took forever to flag her to order our food and to refill our water. Overall, food is pretty good here, but the service is a little meh. Came here with two friends for dinner. Though we had a reservation at 8, we ended up having to wait for about 2. I wasnt that hungry so I got the lobster bisque, which was quite good though on the smaller side. It was a solid place I would go again, but its not the top of my list for the Palo Alto area. Cute, homey Italian cuisine with great service. My friend and I enjoyed. Avalanche cocktail the blended ice unfortunately later wound up watering down the flavor of the drink, but overall it was satisfying. Gazpacho cold soup kind of like a cold tomato soup, good flavor. Tagliatelle home made pasta ftw Very nice portion size with lots of pasta and meat and excellent sauce. Vongole pasta pretty standard, but a very generous serving of clams. Pasta portion a little on the smaller side, and this pasta wasnt one of their home made entrees. Tiramisu cant really go wrong with tiramisu. Spumoni interesting creamy mix of flavors, kind of like tasting italian cake in ice cream form. Creative that they blended the nuts into with the ice cream. Total came out to 5. The service was pleasant and attentive, the ambience warm and cozy, and the quality of the food overall good. I wouldnt say it blew my mind and was the best Italian food Ive ever had, but if youre in the mood for consistently good Italian food that wont break the bank, this is definitely a place to check out. The food, service and ambiance was amazing. Sauteed Gulf Prawns Parsley, lemon, white wine They were so good and tender. Wild Boar Sausage organic flageolets, roasted bell pepper au just I didnt taste this, my date had it and he said he really enjoyed it. Penne a la vodka This was their special of the evening and it was one of the best pastas Ive had in a while. It had bits of smoked salmon. Veal Picatta The date had this and I did not taste this dish so I cant say how good it was, but he didnt leave a morsel, which means it must have been tasty I would literally come back just for their pasta Service was flawless. Ive been here twice once for a regular dinner and once for Valentines Day. John Grisham The Confession Torrent here. The atmosphere of the place is nice dim lighting, candles, homey wooden chairs and bar. It creates a calming and elegant effect. The first time I got the tagliatelle, which was delicious. The pasta tasted fresh, and there was a great balance of sweet peas, mushrooms, chicken, and creamy cheese. Portion size was good too I felt full but not stuffed after finishing the plate. The second time, the decor was quite cute, with red balloons and roses for Valentines Day. I was a little disappointed because there was a set menu for the holiday, so there was less variety and higher prices. I got the game hen, which came out perfectly crisped. The meat was juicy and flavorful throughout. It was a little salty, but went well with the broccolini and farro. Really, theres nothing like eating an entire chicken on Valentines DayOverall, enjoyed both my times here and would come again for solid Italian food in the area. Went here for dinner with a large group. The food and service were both exceptional. I had the shrimp appetizer, which was delicious, and huge Everything others ordered also looked delicious. Very good location, easy to park, people are friendly. I have been here multiple times. Good food. Our server last time was Hassan, very nice. GO GO GO We were here for a family birhtday last night 2. Okay, if your on a budget, save up before you go, its pricey, but worth it, if you like superb service, and great food.
